Known for his beautifully lush and haunting experimental films, Phil Solomon returns to Los Angeles for the first time in 10 years to screen a selection of shorts. The program includes the two first installments of the series The Twilight Psalms--"The Lateness of the Hour" (1999, 10 min., color, silent) and "Walking Distance" (1999, 23 min., color). Also featured is Solomon's last collaboration with the late Stan Brakhage, a piece entitled Seasons... (2002, 15 min., color, silent). Solomon has presented his work at venues throughout the world, including two editions of the Whitney Biennial and three Cineprobe showcases at The Museum of Modern Art.
