An uncommon exploration of visual music with the virtuoso pianist and founding member of The California EAR Unit. This synaesthetic program features Eve Beglarian’s ethereal Cave and the world premiere of Ray’s Jugg(ular)ling, paired with video by Tammy Ray. It also includes Clay Chaplin’s Tricomatic, a structured improvisation for piano, percussion and video; Bruno Louchouarn’s RetouR, for solo piano and video; Chris Mich’s award-winning experimental film MFL, with a score by Paul Oehlers; and more music by Ray combined with video by Dennis H. Miller and film by early-cinema pioneer Germaine Dulac.
