Martha Rosler

A pioneer in video, conceptual art and feminist art practice, Martha Rosler creates work that considers everyday life and the social sphere. As an artist, teacher and critic, Rosler has addressed the immediacy of the Vietnam War, the fascist occupation of Chile, the semiotics of contemporary femininity, and the pitfalls of documentary reality. A visiting artist at the CalArts Schools of Art and Film/Video this spring, Rosler is featured in the exhibition WACK! Art and the Feminist Revolution on view at The Geffen Contemporary at MOCA (March 4 -- July 16).
