In its annual December concert, the School of Dance's faculty ensemble and guest artists pay tribute to the music and spirit of Nina Simone with a series of specially created new works. Led by Artistic Director Cristyne Lawson, dean of the School of Dance, the ensemble also features alumni and guest choreographers and collaborators who, in recent years, have included Teri Weikel, Marla Bingham, Ishmael Wadada Leo Smith, California EAR Unit, Jules Engel, Nicholas Gunn, Ann Carlson, Don Preston and Donald Byrd.
