Madeline Hollander is a Los Angeles-based artist whose multifaceted practice spans choreography, sculpture, video, drawing, and installation. Tomorrow Will Be Nothing Like Today Will Be Nothing Like Tomorrow (2022), the latest work in the artist’s ongoing Countdown series, addresses climate crises, rising global temperature averages, and the inability to turn back time and undo what has been done.A Cool Million is a public arts initiative for climate awareness led by artists and institutions to expand environmental justice programming and support the conservation of one million acres of land. Partnering with For Freedoms and Art into Acres, the initiative will collaborate with artists and art institutions across California to install climate-related artworks on billboards, museum facades, and museum-based signage in California and online to coincide with Earth Day 2022. The project is supported by Art + Climate Action, a collective of California arts professionals and advocates responding to the climate crisis. This project is initiated by Haley Mellin and Micki Meng. Learn more at acoolmillion.org.
