Three Weeks of New Original Works

REDCAT’s New Original Works (NOW) Festival returns for its 19th edition with nine new works by artists Achinta S. McDaniel, Lindsey Red-tail, X’ene Sky, Jay Carlon with Micaela Tobin, Joe Diebes, Stephanie Zaletel | szalt, Sarahjeen François, Sara Lyons, and The Rock Collection. 

Each year, the NOW Festival premieres new and innovative work in contemporary dance, theater, music, and multimedia performance by Los Angeles-based artists. All artistic teams—selected through an open application process by a committee of artists—receive production and technical support, along with artist fees to present their work. Since its first edition in 2004, the NOW Festival has supported and showcased over 200 LA-based artists, whose work continues to be presented on stages around the world.

The 19th edition of NOW will unfold over three weekends with a triple bill of performances each night. Each program is premiered on Thursday evening and repeated Friday and Saturday evenings, along with a live stream.
